What is LOL SUPERMAN?

LOL SUPERMAN is the name associated with an alleged piece of lost media from the September 11 attacks. Accounts commonly describe graphic ground-level footage near the World Trade Center involving people who fell or jumped from the towers.

No publicly available copy has been verified as the alleged video. Descriptions vary, and reported memories of early websites or uploads do not establish that a distinct video existed under this title.

What is known?

The attacks were extensively photographed and filmed. The phrase LOL SUPERMAN appears in later internet discussions about a particular alleged clip. Researchers have documented those references, compared available footage and looked for contemporaneous records. The identity, original uploader, filming location and even the existence of a distinct video remain unconfirmed.
